Ahh...There's no doubt that the 6th and 7th photos are none other than the double ended amalgam carrier. It is used to "scoop up" the amalgam, which is the silver filling material, and place it into the opening of the tooth. It's more useful for large fillings. Dentists prefer to use it because in case they want to apply an additional amalgam, all they need to do is to flip it to the other end. :)
